Waypoint Robotics is beyond thrilled to announce that we have been acquired by Locus Robotics to form a new heavyweight in warehouse and industrial robotics. The acquisition will serve to broaden the Locus line of proven and powerful AMR solutions with robots that address use cases from ecommerce, case-picking, and pallet-picking to scenarios requiring larger, heavier payloads. It also enables the team to serve a multitude of industrial and manufacturing use cases as well.
See a preview of what’s to come…(hint, we are just getting started!):
. “As order fulfillment and labor shortages continue to grow around the world, the acquisition of Waypoint Robotics will accelerate our ability to meet these global needs in just months rather than years, helping us drive the digital transformation of the warehouse.” – Rick Faulk, CEO of Locus Robotics
“We launched Waypoint with a singular mission to develop intuitive and user-friendly autonomous mobile robots. We are excited to join forces with Locus to leverage the flexibility and higher capacity of our world-class omnidirectional AMRs for their existing customers and new market segments.” – Jason Walker, CEO of Waypoint Robotics
