We are looking forward to a busy Fall events season…many of which will be in person. We are thrilled to connect with colleagues again… It has been too long!
Here’s where you will find the team at Waypoint Robotics for the remainder of 2021. We hope to see you soon! Can’t make the events? Please contact us with questions or to schedule a virtual demo at your convenience.
ATX West – August 10th – Session and Panel – (Anaheim, CA)
On Tuesday August 10th, 2:15pm PT Waypoint CEO Jason Walker will present “How to Include Your Workers Early and Often to Maximize Mobile Robot ROI” as part of the ATX West Design. Engineer. Build Conference.
Description: Companies struggling with increasing demand complexity and a shrinking workforce look to robotics as an advanced and flexible automation solution that can quickly improve efficiency and productivity. The people on your plant floor, on the other hand, may view the robot with anxiety and even fear, dramatically slowing the deployment of the robotics system—reducing your ROI. Your people are smart, capable, and have years of knowledge about your product, your process, and your business. You need them, and you need the robot! So how do you teach your people to stop worrying and love the robot?
And immediately before, there will be an important panel presentation discussing the importance of mobile robot interoperability and progress made to date from organizations like MassRobotics leading efforts to create an interoperability standard. Don’t miss “Interoperability to Increase Robot Adoption” happening Tuesday, Aug 10 – 1:15pm – 2:00pm
Description: The adoption of robots continues to accelerate as manufacturers struggle to meet growing demand and a shrinking supply of workers. However, a challenge looms – interoperability. A given facility may be home to multiple robotic solutions, each with their own approaches to sharing information – to talk to each other. Without the ability to easily share information between individual robots designed for different uses and designed by different vendors, implementing true robotic systems remains an elusive goal. In 2020, MassRobotics–an independent, non-profit organization serving as the innovation hub for robotics and connected devices–established the Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) Interoperability Working Group to tackle this problem. This session, led by MassRobotics partners, will discuss their work around interoperability standards and answer your questions about this crucial next step in the evolution of robotics and automation.
FABTECH Sept 13-16 – Booth, Workshop, Talk, & Keynote panel! (Chicago, IL)
For the first time in over a year, Waypoint will be demoing products at a live, in-person tradeshow! We’ll be on hand at booth B12024 to answer questions and demo Vector, Vector mobile manipulator as well as Vector with advanced top modules like Kingpin and conveyor deck. Also shown will be MAV3K, Waypoint’s autonomous mobile robot that can transport up to 3000lbs of material.
Other exciting activities during FABTECH:
Interoperability Panel: Jason will be joining Arnie Kravitz from ARM Institute, Aaron Prather from FedEx, Samir Patel – Kawasaki Robotics and Ben Water – Wibotic for an informative panel discussion on the latest in mobile robot interoperability
Intro to Robotics Workshop: “Getting Started with Robotics: A Journey to the World of Robotics & Autonomous Systems” by Bob Rochelle – Gudel Inc and Waypoint CEO Jason Walker. This workshop will feature an interactive, hands-on AMR mapping and set up demo!
Advanced Robotics session: “Position Your Business for Future Growth & Speed Up the Workforce with Automation Process” This presentation will be given by Steve Alexander of Acieta and Jason Walker from Waypoint to help attendees with hot to include workers to speed up mobile robot deployment and how to do more with less using automation.
Autonomous Mobile Robots & Logistics Conference – Exhibit, in-person demos, presentation (Memphis TN)
In October, people looking to learn all about autonomous mobile robots will gather in Memphis for A3’s Autonomous Mobile Robot conference. FedEx is the main partner for this event and will be hosting attendees at their facility to show off automation advancements they’ve made to safely deliver your packages on time. You won’t to miss this! Here is the latest schedule of events and activities. Waypoint will be exhibiting and giving a talk on how AMRs can easily turn supply chain facilities from fixed to flexible.
EASTEC – Exhibit & In-Person Demos (Springfield, MA)
Another conference we are excited about is happening right around the corner from Waypoint. EASTEC 2021, the largest Northeast manufacturing trade show and will be held at the Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield, Massachusetts and is produced by SME and AMT. Waypoint will be exhibiting at booth #3223 this year.
We very much look forward to seeing you IN PERSON at upcoming trade shows , but in the meantime, you can reach out to schedule a personalized live demo of Waypoint AMRs including Vector & MAV3K and our family of omnidirectional, autonomous mobile robots and accessories designed to empower your manufacturing workforce.
